These terms apply to CaveTab (the “site”). The site is operated by quaply (“we”, “us”). By using the site, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.
1. What CaveTab is
CaveTab is a free web calculator. It estimates what money from a past year would be worth today if it had been held as gold, silver, US dollars, euros, housing or cash, adjusted for local inflation. All calculations run in your browser on static data.
2. Not financial advice
All figures are for information only. They are not financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Do not make financial decisions based only on them.
3. Data accuracy
We use public data from sources such as the IMF, the BIS, the World Bank, national statistics offices and The Economist’s Big Mac index. This data can be late, revised, incomplete or wrong. Our calculations simplify reality. For example, they ignore fees, taxes, spreads and storage costs. We do not guarantee that any figure is accurate, complete or up to date. The Methodology and Sources pages explain how the figures are made.
4. Using the site
You may use the site and share its results and share cards. You must not:
- attack, overload or disrupt the site or its servers;
- try to get around the Pro license checks;
- sell, publish or share license keys;
- use the site in a way that breaks the law.
The free version of the site may show ads in the future.
5. CaveTab Pro
Pro is an optional, one-time purchase. It is not a subscription. You see the price before you pay, including applicable taxes (for example US$3.99, or ₺99 in Turkey). Prices can change, but a change does not affect purchases already made.
Pro removes ads and the watermark on share cards. It also adds the 9:16 story format, your @handle on cards and 2× export. We may improve or change Pro features over time.
Payment through Paddle. Our order process is run by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle processes the payment, collects VAT or sales tax, sends the invoice and handles refunds. Paddle’s Checkout Buyer Terms apply to your purchase.
License key. After payment, you get a license key. The key is for your personal use. You may not transfer it. One key works on at most 3 devices. To use Pro on more devices, sign in with the email address you used at checkout. We may deactivate a key after a refund or a chargeback, or when it is clearly shared or misused.
Duration. Pro has no time limit. It stays active for as long as we run the site. If we close the site, Pro ends with it.
6. Optional account
You do not need an account. You can sign in with your email address or your Google account to restore Pro on other devices. Sign-in is provided by Clerk. Keep access to your email account secure.
7. Intellectual property
The site’s design, code, texts and the CaveTab name belong to quaply. The data belongs to its sources and is used under their licenses (see the Sources page). You may freely share the share cards you create.
8. Third-party services and links
The site uses or links to services of other companies, such as Paddle, Clerk, Cloudflare, Google Fonts and our data sources. Their own terms and policies apply to them. We are not responsible for their content or services.
9. No warranty
We provide the site “as is” and “as available”, to the extent the law allows. We do not promise that the site will always be available or free of errors.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss caused by using the site or by relying on its figures. Our total liability related to Pro is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, for example for intent or gross negligence.
11. Your consumer rights
If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer rights of your country of residence still apply. These terms do not limit them.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new terms. A change does not reduce the Pro rights you have already paid for.
13. Governing law
The laws of Türkiye govern these terms. The courts of Türkiye have jurisdiction. This does not remove the protection of the mandatory laws or the courts of your country of residence, if you are a consumer.
